- We consider frequency & volume of orders, time for transport, size of product and shipping costs
- Most of our tooling production happens in the Far East, the most cost effective location for this highly skilled service
- The tooling will either be used for production in the Far East or moved to the optimal location for the project

Our design for manufacture process
By bringing together design expertise with manufacturing experience, MotionTouch can increase product quality and reduce project time and costs.
- Through a process of consultation we listen to our client's product lifecycle expectations and discuss any other pertinent factors about the product (such as materials, surface finish etc)
- We suggest the most cost effective method for taking your concept through to manufacture, be it through prototyping, production of injection tooling or simply the creation of high quality graphics and animations to represent your product for marketing and funding purposes
- Analysis is possible to prove suitability for moulding, strength and rigidity of the component right down to the actual weight of the component in the required material
- We can utilise any of a variety of options to create rapid prototypes to prove the design - including stereolithography, machining and silicon moulding
- We pass knowledge gained during test and prototyping directly into the manufacture process to reduce cost at the mass production stage
Our main design package is SolidWorks. It enables us to create individual components and then complete assemblies from those components to prove fit and form. We can accept all the commonly used interface file formats for exchanging files between different packages.
