Leak-Proof Portable Potty

My Carry Potty is a leak-proof, lightweight, portable potty - assembly free and ready-to-go. It is EN71 certified and made of high-quality, easy to clean, durable plastic. The unique lid, with its special leak-proof seal, means that My Carry Potty is perfect to use when you're out and about or in the car and there's nowhere to dispose of the contents! With no additional bags required, it benefits the environment and saves time and money. My Carry Potty's colourful, fun appearance and carry handle ensure it appeals to toddlers who make it their own.
The Challenge:
Our clients at My Carry Potty are parents themselves and have experienced first-hand the challenges of potty training, from the unhygienic nature of carrying a regular potty to the embarrassing problem of disposing the contents! With their product, they wanted a design where convenience and ease of use were combined within an attractive package that would appeal to both parent and child.
The Process:
A key design requirement was for the potty to be fully leak-proof. MotionTouch worked through a process of design evolution to find the perfect plug solution - a combination of a soft silicon seal bonded to the moulded, hard plastic outer. Expertise in ingress protection was transferred from the MotionTouch electronics department to the design team, to assist this process and maximise results. Crucially My Carry Potty needed to appeal to young children and be easy to use. Our experience in the Parent, Child and Play sector was applied to every aspect of My Carry Potty, including the combination of aesthetics and ergonomics. Its colours and design are much more fun and appealing than a regular potty - and the big red clip keeps it safely sealed and is simple to use so the child can take an active role in their potty-training.
The Outcome:
The launch of My Carry Potty has been a tremendous success, with John Lewis snapping up the opportunity for an exclusive retail deal through their stores nationwide.
